There are several effects of sun tanning on the skin. Some of them will be discussed below.
- Exposure in the sun can cause a reduction in the production of collagen and elastin in the skin. These two proteins help to keep the skin together. Too much exposure in the sun can cause damage to these proteins, thereby resulting in the likely further damage to the skin.
- Sun tanning can also lead to the development of frown lines and wrinkles on the skin. Exposure in the sun can cause or increase the rate at which the skin age.
- Sun burn is likely going to occur when skin tanning is used as a method of stretch marks removal.
The above list on the effect of sun tanning on stretch marks are not exhausted as there are several other effects of sun tanning on the skin.
