Stretch marks is common in women during pregnancy and most women have stretch marks during pregnancy. Stretch marks is hereditary in the sense that you have to be watchful. So, if your mother has stretch marks, it is likely that you are going to have it too. Since pregnancy is one of the major causes of stretch marks, then you are likely going to have it through that process.
How to prevent stretch marks during pregnancy
Since stretch marks is difficult to remove or get rid of, I think the best and wise thing to do is to prevent it entirely.
During pregnancy many women tried to minimize stretch marks by using certain products such as creams and ointment. Sometimes they are disappointed as the stretch marks still occur sometimes more than what has been there if they already have it before.
In one of my post I stated that one of the best ways to prevent stretch marks is to known the causes and try to avoid them. In this very situation, it will be difficult to do without unless it is your personal decision not to give birth.
One sure way to prevent and or reduce the effect of stretch marks on the skin during pregnancy is to moisturize the skin. Moisturizing helps to keep the skin hydrated and so, enable it to stretch better during pregnancy. Areas to moisturize include the hips, buttocks, belly and breast.
